Salina, Kansas is now home to the largest fully accessible playground in North America thanks to troves of volunteers and donations totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Noon Network Ambucs’s goal of building the massive playground came to fruition on July 17th, 2013. Many of Accessible Home Health’s management, nurses, and aids volunteered their time to assist in constructing the structure; Accessible also supplied a first aid room in case of emergency. The T-Shirts, which where designed and furnished by Accessible Home Health, were given out to volunteers for their help. The playground stands outside of Coronado Elementary. It is a place where all children, regardless of disability, will have fun playing.
